About Me

Hi, this is Faerie here. I’m currently pursuing my B.Tech Computer science in VIT, Chennai. I did my schooling in Chennai Public School, Thirumazhisai. I chose computer science because I have a passion for coding and web development. I currently know the following languages: Python, C, C++, MySQL, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, PHP, JavaScript, jquery, Django, Assembly language MASM 8086 RStudio. I am committed to learning and self-development so that I can consistently achieve better results. I have completed two courses in coursera which includes data science with math and python for beginners. I recently did a many projects using PHP and Django. I secured 2nd place in TetraFlip hackathon out of 80 teams conducted by VIT. I was the school topper in a quiz competition conducted by Times of India which was based on aptitude. When I’m not on the computer, I enjoy playing with my dog, practicing karate(currently a black belt holder), drawing, playing keyboard and also singing. I also love to watch anime and Netflix.

Smart Travel Planner

The Smart Travel Planner (STP) is a travel planning application with a friendly and easy-to-use user interface. This application gets all the places that the user wants to visit and then comparing the distances between one place and all the other non-visited places and then choosing the place that is closest. Once all the places in the list are visited the final course is charted back to the place of origin.

Course Registration Error Rectification

In this project we make the life of students easy by helping them make their course registration a more easy and effortless job. The process of course registration is often met with much frustration and dissatisfaction from students due to the various problems that arise with it. Our project aims rectify the current problems faced by my university VIT and we have submited this project to them.

Urban Sound Recognition

Sounds make up a lot of physical events in the city, therefore, developing deep learning approach to automatically extract this information has a huge potential and application in areas like building smart-city : noise monitoring, urban security, soundscape assessment, multimedia, retrieval, etc. In this project I have implemented the CNN model predict the guven sound.
